What We Do?

We create ecologically designed Edible Forest Gardens for self-reliance and harmonious living with the environment. By observing nature's intelligence we are able to design in a way which provides year-round food, clean water, natural medicine, renewable resources, generational security, improved physical and mental well-being and much more all through conscious ecological design practices.

By utilising and replicating natural patterns we aim towards high-yielding, self-renewing fertility, which reduces the time it takes you to look after your forest garden. A fully established Forest Garden can require as little as 60 hours per year to maintain, freeing up your time whilst still benefitting from its abundant rich produce and resources.

We design for homes, communities, farmers and businesses so they may work harmoniously with the natural world while simultaneously supporting our well-being, our future, and our planet.

We work with homeowners and landowners to create ecologically orientated and productive Forest Gardens. We design for food abundance, medicine and resources, waste management, water catchment, energy efficiency and more.

Rural Homes, People With Land & Families Who Want Abundance

You can have a forest garden no matter the size of your backyard. We say this because forest gardening is the act of utilising perennial polycultures mixed with self-renewing forest architecture to create a productive yield.

Simply put: You get trees and plants working together to provide you with food for little effort.

We work with homeowners and landowners to create ecologically orientated and productive forest systems. We design for food abundance, medicines, resources, waste management, water catchment, energy efficiency and more.

Land Rehabilitation & Regenerative Farming

By mimicking the forest system, using natural successional patterns to restore the soil food web and creating interconnective functional diversity we can turn any area of land into a living, productive space which doesn't rely on any external inputs leaving farmers and the like to relax and enjoy life. Years of heavy chemical fertilisers and pesticides in monoculture practices have left the soil food web of many fields lifeless and unproductive. Making the life of farmers harder by spending more time and money spraying crops and land to ensure a yield.

Corporate Design for Businesses, Councils and Schools

Working with Local Councils, Businesses, Schools and Universities we can transform unused, dead, concrete spaces into uplifting and inspiring forest gardens, full of abundance, life and vibrancy. Green spaces have proven positive effects on mental and physical well-being, supporting your business and the environment. We will design for you an Ecosystem full of nutrient-rich food, and relaxing spots that help to boost morale and provide a talking point for your business or area.

Environmental Research

The intelligence and infinitely complex design of nature leave ecologists with many questions unanswered. We not only design forest gardens to restore damaged and lost ecological history but we also endeavour to work with our clients to monitor the effects of conscious design on the environment and our practice. With years of ecological observation, we can better understand the best way to approach the needs of nature and ourselves.

For You & The Planet

Year-Round Organic Food

Nutritious rich food is hard to come by and very costly. The famous quote;  ‘Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food’ is something we truly believe in. Which is why our forest garden designs will provide you will a surplus of food. Meaning you will not only have enough for your family and yourself, but enough to sell or trade with others. With the current climate and world affairs, food security is more important than ever, we aim towards year round food production in our designs.

Generational Security

We make sure our designs sustain themselves and provide obtainable yields. We don't just design for the present generation but also for our future ones. The needs of all living things are provided for year after year, encouraging species to take up a permanent residence and return annually. Trees, crops, herbs and fungi will provide seasonally nutritious food again and again, with little human intervention. The value of your property will increase and you will also be able to leave behind a legacy, not only for your family, but for the natural world as well.

Supporting Biodiversity

Appropriate, functional Biodiversity is essential for a healthy and thriving forest garden. Which is why we use flora and fauna which attracts life-supporting, inter-connected species such as the parasitoid wasp and the black bee. Pollinating insects and birds are beneficial and highly important in any eco-system, responsible for the fertility and longevity of your plants and crops. The benefits of having just one forest garden in a community can help to support and contribute towards the surrounding eco-systems, providing essential habitats for beneficial species such as bats, frogs, newts, birds and more.

What Is Permaculture & Edible Forest Gardening?

Permaculture is a holistic and sustainable design system that integrates ecological principles, ethics, and patterns observed in natural ecosystems. Rooted in the idea of creating harmonious and regenerative human habitats, permaculture aims to design systems that meet human needs while enhancing ecological health. It encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including agriculture, architecture, energy, and community development, with the overarching goal of creating resilient and self-sustaining systems. Key principles of permaculture include observing and working with nature, valuing diversity, utilizing resources efficiently, and fostering cooperation between elements within a system.

Edible forest gardening is a specific application of permaculture principles, focusing on the cultivation of food-producing plants in a manner that mimics the structure and function of a natural forest ecosystem. In an edible forest garden, a diverse array of fruit and nut trees, shrubs, herbs, and perennial plants are strategically interplanted to create a self-sustaining and regenerative food system. The design is based on the concept of "food forests," where plants are selected and arranged to provide multiple yields, support biodiversity, and minimize the need for external inputs. This approach not only yields a variety of fresh, organic produce but also contributes to environmental restoration by enhancing soil fertility, preventing erosion, and fostering biodiversity.

Both permaculture and edible forest gardening emphasize a thoughtful and observant approach to land use, promoting sustainable practices that prioritize the well-being of ecosystems and communities. These design systems provide a blueprint for creating resilient, efficient, and harmonious environments that can meet human needs while preserving and enhancing the natural world.

About Us

We create ecologically designed systems for self-reliance and harmonious living with the environment and individual wellbeing at its core. By utilising and replicating natural patterns we create ecological sustainability, our systems are designed to use existing energy inputs and outputs to minimize our need to interfere. We design for homes, communities and businesses so they may work harmoniously with the natural world while simultaneously supporting our well-being, our future, and our planet.

We create systems that provide our own food, clean drinking water, natural medicines, our own energy and resources. The key is observation, studying the environment and learning from her so we may design systems that work harmoniously and synergistically. Our systemic ecologically designed systems are diverse and scaleable - We turn gardens into high-yielding productive eco-systems that provides food, water, energy and resource security.

We turn rural land into off-grid heavens for life and design farmland into regenerative systems that decrease expenditure and diversifies income. We build off-grid communities that are immersed with the natural world and bring the natural world into corporate business.

The Earth is our home. There is wonder and beauty in nature that frequently gets ignored. One of my passions and purpose's is to remind people of the beauty that is our planet.

Not just with nature but with ourselves as people too. Forest gardening and Permaculture is a way for all people to return, and venture towards, a way of life which is abundant, sovereign, free and filled with magic, joy and love.

I have dedicated many years of my life to being a guide for people to know who and what they really are. Now I do that alongside creating wonderful Forest Gardens so you may live a life connected to something more, something better.

Forest Gardening and environmental regeneration has been a passion of mine for many years.

I have designed, developed and cared for my own forest garden for the past 14 years, whilst also taking part in reforestation programmes, planting trees all grown from seed and nut in my own back yard, as well as being involved in environmental programmes in industry.

My pursuit to inspire change, led me to winning an international award for a recycling and harvesting project, which managed to save the industry over £500,000 in just its first year of implementation.

Nature has a language that can be understood by anyone who takes the time to listen.

My passion is to re-ignite your desire to connect with nature by showing you how much it is truly designed to give us everything we need. Mentally, Physically, Emotionally and Spiritually.

There is still a lot to understand about our incredible planet, its inhabitants and its ability to continue to grow and adapt despite the damage which has been done to it.

Aside from Permaculture and Forest Gardening I enjoy learning and experimenting with natural arts and crafts, guiding people to unlock their creative potential by utilising the resources nature has in abundance
